FRAXEL Laser

Skin resurfacing with Fraxel laser can refresh the top layers of skin and can be used to improve brown spots, sun damage, fine lines to moderate wrinkles, and scars. It is a non-ablative, fractionated laser that uses two wavelengths of light, 1550nm and 1927nm, to target the epidermis and dermis. It produces columns of heated tissue that stimulate collagen production and help eliminate pigmentation in the skin.

Commonly treated areas include the face, neck, chest/decolletage, hands, arms, and shins.

Treatment is customizable to surface or deeper layers. Fraxel can treat:

• Sun spots

• Pigmentation

• Sun damage

• Dull texture

• Enlarged pores

• Fine to moderate lines and wrinkles

• Acne scars

• Stretch marks

• Surgical scars

• Certain pre-cancerous lesions (Actinic keratoses)

Photos will be taken prior to your procedure and a topical numbing cream will be applied for your comfort. Following the procedure, your face will feel like a hot sunburn for 2-4 hours. Post-treatment instructions will be given to you at your appointment.
